Correction

(Plain Press, October 2009) In the September issue of the Plain Press in “Residents raise concerns about traffic in Tremont,” the article incorrectly referred to the meeting place at Roosevelt Post 58, at 2442 Professor, in Tremont as a VFW post. It is a Polish Legion of American Veterans (PLAV) Post, not VFW. Like the American Legion and the VFW, the US Congress charters the PLAV. The difference is that American veterans of Polish decent founded the PLAV after W.W. II. Currently, all nationalities are accepted for membership.
