Letter to the Editor
Mom says thanks for remembering Detective Rob Clark
To the Editor: (Plain Press, October 2009) Thanks, from the bottom of my heart: Councilman Jay Westbrook, staff, and all the citizens in the district for taking your time out in order to hold the 11th year memorial for my son Detective Rob Clark.
Rob loved the people in the district and especially the children so much he gave his beautiful life up without hesitation.
Thank you for remembering,
Pat McLaughlin
(Rob’s mom)
Editor’s Note: Each year in early July residents and political leaders remember Cleveland Police Officer Robert J. Clark with a ceremony at a memorial created in his memory just south of Cudell Recreation Center on West Boulevard. Prior to the ceremony, at the end of each school year, students from Marion C. Seltzer Elementary School plant flowers and landscape around the memorial. Officer Clark died in the line of duty on July 1, 1998 on Madison near West Blvd.
