Social Security office moves to new location

(Plain Press, December 2009) The Social Security Administration will open a new neighborhood Social Security office at 7517 Lorain Avenue on Monday, December 14 says Brandon P. Smith, a spokesperson for the Social Security Administration.

“The Cleveland Northwest office, which is currently located at 2519 Detroit Avenue, will be moving to 7517 Lorain Avenue. The last day of business in the old location will be Friday, December 11th and the new office will be open for business on Monday, December 14th,” said Smith.

During the week of the move, Smith suggested, “members of the public may want to use alternative methods for contacting Social Security during the week of the move because it will be difficult to handle the full volume of visitors and move the office at the same time. The public is more than welcome to use our electronic services at www.socialsecurity.gov or call our toll free national number at 800-772-1213 to take care of their Social Security related business.”
