CLEVELAND METROPARKS FARM AND GARDEN DAY: Saturday, June 5th from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Garfield Park Nature Center in Garfield Heights. (off the Broadway Avenue entrance of Garfield Park Reservation – north of the I-480 Broadway Avenue exit.). Enjoy free children’s hands on activities all day. CLEVELAND METROPARKS ZOO is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Mondays, the Zoo (not including The RainForest) is FREE for residents of Cuyahoga County and Hinckley Township. (* From Memorial Day through Labor Day, if Monday is a holiday, discounts apply on Tuesday instead.) If you qualify for free Zoo-only admission on Mondays, tickets for The RainForest may be purchased at the following rates: Adults (12 and older) are $5.00, Children (2-11) are $3.00, and Children under 2 are free. (To confirm your residency, bring photo ID or utility bill with current Cuyahoga County address with another form of ID.)
HALE FARM AND VILLAGE at 2686 oak Hill Rd in Bath, Ohio officially opens to the public for the summer season on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission cost: $ 10 Adults/Seniors; $5Children Age 3-12; WRHS Members and Children 2 &Under Free.Visitors will enjoy the traditional activities of Hale Farm & Village outdoor living history museum. ROCHESTER INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY offers a camp for middle school students who are hard of hearing: African-American, Latino American and Native American students with hearing loss who are entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade are invited to Steps to Success, a career exploration weekend camp August 6 – 8 at Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf. CAMP THEATER! is Great Lakes Theater Festival’s summer drama camp for students ages 3-18. Students can sign up for one or both weeks of camp, (June 14-18 and June 21-26) as different material will be covered each week. Daily classes will be held at Berea High School.
